Oren Kessler
Oren Kessler is a Tel Aviv-based journalist covering Israel and the Middle East for TheTower.org.
Based in Israel since 2006, he has been the Jerusalem Post’s Middle East affairs correspondent and a writer, editor and translator for Haaretz English Edition.
Oren’s work has appeared in Foreign Policy, the Forward, Tablet, Middle East Quarterly, World Affairs, the Journal of International Security Affairs and Israel Journal of Foreign Affairs. He also serves as nonresident associate research fellow at the Henry Jackson Society, a London-based think tank, and is a frequent guest on international news programs discussing Israel and the Arab world.
Oren holds an Hon. BA in History from the University of Toronto and an MA in Diplomacy and Conflict Studies from the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya. Fluent in Hebrew and Spanish, he has studied literary and colloquial Arabic in the United States, the Diwaan center in Tel Aviv and Al-Quds University in East Jerusalem.
